With Obamacare being constantly challenged under the administration of President Donald Trump, more information is coming out about the corruption of the health care industry and collusion between large “health care” providers and insurance companies to keep prices high.
After months of discouragement regarding the promised repeal (and possible replacement) of Obamacare, Congress may have just given those longing for that sweet breath of freedom some hope in an unexpected place – the tax reform bill that has now become law.
When the debate over the Graham-Cassidy bill that was intended to “repeal” the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare) was in its full fury, I had some very mixed feelings. I very much wanted the command and control provisions of Obamacare to go bye-bye, especially the individual mandate requiring individuals to be covered by health insurance that met the centrally planned specifications of our “fearless leaders,” as well as the mandate for employers with at least 50 full-time employees to provide that coverage.
There are many people who stoutly defend establishing single payer “health care coverage” in the United States mainly through a “Medicare For All” proposal already presented to Congress by Senator Bernie Sanders, I-VT.
As the people of the United States try to correct the disastrous effects of the Affordable (more like Unaffordable) Care Act, the single payer advocates have become not-so-strangely noisier than ever, and what a coincidence because Senator Bernie Sanders introduced a proposal in September to establish a socialist system of single payer health care fondly known by the leftists as “Medicare for All.”
